Realizing it’s been several weeks I thought it best to check in and bring things up to date. Many missed trading opportunities since my last posting. Putting no charts up here or https://twitter.com/TraderDick1 means I’ve made no trades. There are no trades to report despite seeing huge opportunities on my charts that meet my rules.
The big question is WHY? Why you ask? Eliminating and avoiding split mental focus!
Valid reason! I’ve been totally immersed in creating my new Coaching Program for fellow traders.. The content is not difficult to create because its all based on just under four (4) decades of my trading experience.
No… Content isn’t difficult. But the “tech” side of the equation is slowing down the process.
It might sound flippant to say the content isn’t difficult. Because at another level it is. This Coaching Program is NOT about documenting wins and losses. This coaching is a new format for me. I have to present my own ideas and experience to help subscribers learn and benefit from my experiences.
It’s one thing documenting trading successes and failures and quite another to record the methods teaching another person to their own benefit. That process caused some head scratching. Still challenging.
But NOTHING like the rabbit hole of ‘tech’. There is no simple way to sum up that mind numbing experience so I’ll save you the pain
Truthfully, at this writing, I’m still having difficulty navigating tools for video editing. But I AM moving forward all-be-it mush slower than expected. I’m thinking a guy has to be a 20-something to grapple with the technology. The good news is my choice for the platform to deliver my coaching course was the right one.
It took me almost a year of research to make the choice of Coaching Genie software to deliver the program. It was the right move. Simple interface, ease of use for my students, and most importantly, the ability to self regulate personal progress and keep track of it all with personal coaching sessions.
I mean the whole purpose of having a coach is to make personal growth easier, success more frequent and track the entire process to keep yourself accountable.
And not being a perfect trader by any means, this effort to create a coaching program for traders who want more success, has put me right up against my own F.O.M.O. It’s taken some serious discipline to stay focused on the project and keep my personal trading out of the mix.
So while missing some beautiful moves in trading currencies especially, I’ve been creating a new and more efficient way for giving back. https://twitter.com/TraderDick1 is not enough to support commodity traders who want to take their trading to the next level.
Learning how to be accountable to yourself in your trading success will take more than seeing my charts.
Should be a lot of fun when it’s done. Of course I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop when it’s ready to launch.
