Good Friday tomorrow with all markets closed. Gold is the only thing trading as we speak and Bitcoin addicts are at it in the Globex session.
I’ve been diligently working away putting the final touches on my Commodity and Forex Trader’s Coaching program deliverable very soon.
As of tonight I have a very basic email system set up so if you’re interested in joining just leave me a comment with your email address. . No spam ok guys and gals? Takes me too much time to manage. Better and more important things to accomplish.
Been flat all currency futures markets except for one short Canadian dollar position about a month ago. Posted that trade to my twitter account which is https://twitter.com/TraderDick1
What I’ve been doing just for trading fun is buying long call options on some recovering N.Y.S.E. and Nasdaq listed stocks. Took off a long call position today ahead of the Easter weekend in Allegheny Tech. I had the $25. strike and sold the contracts when the stock hit $30.47 today. Didn’t catch the high but that’s really because my trading platform is SO awkward and separate from my charts. For options I use a different broker not tied into Trading View. I’m researching changing that.
Had some good successes over the past weeks getting in on Kinder Morgan, Marathon and especially Chevron which has been on a tear. The advantage for me is after the basic research is done using my system, I just wait for an appropriate breakout with volume, make the trade and then forget about it. My maximum loss is known to me. Pressure is off and I’ve used that time to tidy up the modules in my course. Good workable plan. And profitable too!
My fun tomorrow while markets are closed is supposed to include a live YouTube chat with a pal of mine. We’re going to discuss some trading ideas although I might rub him the wrong way. He’s got a complicated flexible system and my entire approach is to keep it simple. Regardless I enjoy his attitude.
