Positioned well ahead based on my system but truthfully I don’t trust slam dunk sell-offs. Sucked the initial stop way down. Bad data can be tricky. I’ve never trusted moves this fast. But nice to be on the right side! Planning and discipline works.

A Sense of Humour Helps.
I love it when Kitco (Canadian) does an interview with an author during the Denver Gold Forum 2021, I not only agree with but more importantly has a sense of humour. SO important when managing your financial future!
Range Bound After a Run
Expect a range bound no-man’s land of chop after we get a good run. Personally I missed the Aussie run up being busy with changing over the charts to ‘Z’ from ‘U’ not that’s an excuse with validity. I guess I’m not as driven now as I used to be but I’ve also learned to…
Fractal Entry Good… Greed Exit Not So Good
My entry short at 79915 was as good as it gets. Entries have always been my strong suit but I put that down to my personality. I have a weakness wanting to be engaged. Always in the market. I fight that constantly. One thing I’m learning to benefit fellow traders is I’ve got to get…
Always be Grateful
On the anniversary of 911 I pause to remember my broker (H.L.) calling me and asking me if my TV was on. I said no but snapped it on. In horror I watched a newscast of the twin towers coming down. Our Western world changed. Not for the better. That day’s anniversary today gives me…
The Dog Days of Summer are Over
Late summer trading is usually a ‘thin’ market meaning much lower volume. Hey, if I were a broker I’d take the month of August off too. Time to be on the boat all the retail amateur scalpers paid for. This drop and bounce gave both a win down and a win up. I got a…

I’ve taken a screen shot of my Aussie trades today where I made an error and quickly converted it into a winning trade. Normally on a Friday I’d take advantage of a measurable pre-weekend short covering rally. It’s been my experience over the years that speculators don’t like to be short a currency over the…
Getting the Message Out
(Originally Posted Tuesday January 30, 2007 @ 17:21) Nice to be viewing my charts and seeing some confirmations for set-ups on the dailies. Too bad I’m so bloody busy learning how to get this message of trading success out to a readership. That process seems to be harder than finding good trades.
Flat IS a Position
(Originality Posted Tuesday January 23, 2007@ 18:37) This has been a struggle to leave my trading aside and spend this amount of time reflecting, embracing the changes I need to make and discover for myself where I want this preoccupation to take me. This long drought in posting is not wasted because I’m shifting my…
Confirmed Double Top

But dumb and tired me went short seconds…I repeat SECONDS… before the huge rally today. My entire mental schedule was thrown…
